Continued Funding Application Overview
The Continued Funding Application is for continuing NWP sites only. Learn how to start a new NWP site.
Each National Writing Project site must participate in an annual reporting and review process that supports the renewal of its federal funding. Continuing sites apply for renewal in January by submitting the Continued Funding Application (CFA).
This application includes a narrative report of the site's recent accomplishments and challenges and its plans for the year ahead. It also includes a budget request, core contact information for the site and its leadership, a summer institute schedule, and a map of the site's leadership structure.
The primary purpose of the report is to document that each site fulfills the federal funding requirements to implement the National Writing Project program design, and to show compliance with the requirements of Public Law 107-110 (No Child Left Behind).
The elements of the CFA must be submitted in specific formats in hard copy (all elements) and electronically (selected elements) each January.
Current CFA
Information about the current CFA can be found on the 2009 Continued Funding Application Instructions and Forms homepage.
Additional Funding Opportunities
In addition to the core NWP grant, sites may be eligible to apply for special-focus network minigrants.
